Deputy Minister for Energy of RF Stanislav Svetlitskiy was elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NP INVEL

The first meeting of the NP INVEL Supervisory Board in its new composition, elected at the General meeting of the members of the Partnership on May 22, 2009, was held on June 9, 2009.

In a panel session a number of important procedural decisions was made, specifically including the election of leading persons of the Supervisory Board. Deputy Minister for Energy of RF Stanislav Svetlitskiy was elected unanimously as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Partnership. Timur Ivanov (Vice Chairman of the Board of JSC INTER RAO UES) was unanimously elected as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

During the meeting the candidacy of the Secretary of the Supervisory Board of the Partnership was approved and Nataliya Baydalina (Head of the Department for Corporate and Competitive Procedures) was elected to this position.

The item of approval of the Financial Plan of NP INVEL for 2009-2010 was deferred.

Ministry for Energy of RF and NP INVEL execute Agreement on Cooperation

The purpose of the Agreement is to develop proposals on implementation of state politics in the fuel and energy sector.

As part of the Agreement cooperation was planned on the following:

- improvement of innovative activity in FEC;
- preparation of proposals on enhancing energy and ecological efficiency of FEC including while using renewable sources of energy;
- improvement of information and analysis support of FEC;
- preparation of proposals on improving management systems in the companies of FEC, including energy management, innovative management, ecological management (ISO 14 001), quality management (ISO 9001), professional safety and health (OHSAS 18 001);
- preparation of proposals on participation in the organisation of training and advanced training;
- preparation of proposals on international cooperation in energy efficiency and ecology;
- preparation of proposals on enhancing the efficient use of the potential of the research and design complex of FEC and organisation of research and expert analysis support;
- elaboration of proposals on improving the regulatory basis within the framework of activity specified by the Agreement.

To ensure effective cooperation it is suggested that consultations be held, working groups formed, proposals developed on trends and forms of cooperation and other organizational arrangements.

The signed Agreement marks a new stage in the cooperation of the Ministry for Energy of RF and NP INVEL. Earlier, aspart of the cooperation, a presentation of the Russian-German Energy Agency RUDZA was made, where INVEL was the primary sponsor. The presentation was organized at the Electrification Exhibition Pavillion, owned by the Partnership. As explained by the Deputy Minister for Energy of RF Vladimir Azbukin, the Ministry for Energy shall bestow the pavilion the status of a base field for conducting conferences on problems of FEC.
